Start with what the work needs
AELC defines equipment by what it must do, not by brand. Most companies begin with the START tier, often a few hundred dollars of high-reach attachments and microfiber tools, and upgrade when the work pays for it.

Reach classes
Standard Reach is floor-based work within your equipment's validated reach. Extended Reach uses longer floor-based systems. Elevated Access means ladders, scaffolds or lifts and is planned separately with trained operators.
