About Above Eye Level Cleaning

Above Eye Level Cleaning (AELC) is a national category and network. We named a service every building needs, defined a better way to do it, and connect facilities with independent cleaning companies trained to deliver it.

It started with looking up

Walk into almost any restaurant or bar and the floors, tables and counters look clean. Then look up: dusty vents, greasy fan blades, film-covered TVs, cobwebbed beams. Routine cleaning is built around what people touch. Everything above eye level waits.

The work to fix it already existed, but under a dozen names: high dusting, overhead cleaning, elevated cleaning, vent cleaning, exposed-ceiling cleaning. Facility managers didn't know what to ask for, and cleaning companies didn't know what to call what they sold.

One category. Four words.

Above Eye Level Cleaning (AELC) is the professional cleaning of every surface and object above normal eye level in a commercial building: HVAC registers and returns, lights, fans, TVs, cameras, speakers, signs, beams, pipes, exposed ductwork and ceilings. If it's above eye level and within safe reach, it belongs in one service.

A network, not a franchise

AELC does not own cleaning crews. AELC Certified Providers are established, independently owned cleaning companies. They set their own prices, hire their own people and contract directly with their customers. AELC provides the category, the national website, the AELC Source-Control Method training, marketing tools and the connection to facilities looking for the service.

Our standards

  • Capture or contain the dust. Never just move it.
  • Feet on the floor whenever practical.
  • Stop and escalate when conditions fall outside ordinary cleaning.
  • Say only what we can support. No exaggerated health or compliance claims.

LOOK UP.

Your customers already noticed. Let's fix it.

Tell us about your facility and your local AELC Certified Provider will send an itemized quote, usually within one business day.
