Safety and scope

Above Eye Level Cleaning covers cleaning surfaces and objects above eye level within safe reach and the provider's training. Regulated or hazardous work is referred to licensed specialty trades, and providers stop work when red-light conditions appear.

In scope

Cleaning of HVAC registers, grilles and duct exteriors; lighting; fans; ceilings; beams, pipes and structure; TVs and technology; signs and décor; kitchen ceilings and walls; interior high windows. See all services.

Out of scope

Internal duct cleaning, kitchen hood exhaust systems, mold remediation, asbestos and lead work, electrical and plumbing, sprinkler heads and fire-alarm devices, roofing and structural work, and combustible process dust. Details and who to call.

Safety rules

  • Feet on the floor whenever practical; elevated access is planned separately.
  • No standing on ladders or stools with a fully extended pole.
  • Power off before cleaning fixtures, fans and electronics.
  • Never touch sprinkler heads; never open or spray detectors.
  • Label-directed use of every chemical product.
  • Stop and escalate on any red-light condition.

Independent providers

Each AELC Network Provider is an independently owned and operated business responsible for its own work, employees, insurance and licensing. Facilities should review a provider's certificate of insurance and any applicable licenses before hiring. AELC training credentials mean the provider has completed AELC Method training and testing; they are not a guarantee of any individual job.
