What AELC Certification means
An AELC Certified Provider is an independently owned cleaning company that has completed AELC Source-Control Method training, passed the AELC competency test, verified its insurance, and keeps its certification current each year.
Requirements
- An established, independently owned cleaning business with active registration
- Current general liability insurance, verified by AELC (the verification date appears on the provider's page)
- Completion of the AELC Source-Control Method training
- A passing score on the AELC competency test covering method, reach classes, protection of the space and stop-and-escalate rules
- Agreement to describe the work accurately and follow AELC scope and safety rules when representing work as Above Eye Level Cleaning
Keeping it current
Certification is renewed annually. AELC may suspend or revoke certification for lapsed insurance, unsafe practices, misrepresentation or repeated complaints.
What it does not mean
AELC Certification confirms training and testing in the AELC method. It is not a government license, an inspection approval or a guarantee of any individual job. Each AELC Certified Provider is an independently owned and operated business that sets its own prices, employs its own staff and contracts directly with its customers. As with any contractor, review the provider's insurance, licensing and references before hiring.
