What's included
- Upper and full-height FRP panels
- Trim, seams and corner moldings
- Degreasing behind cook lines where accessible
Not included
- Panel replacement or re-sealing seams
- Moving heavy cooking equipment
Why it matters
The textured surface of FRP holds grease and dust that daily wiping does not remove.
Clean, bright walls make a kitchen look cared for during inspections.
How AELC providers clean FRP wall panels
Every AELC Network Provider follows the AELC Source-Control Method: do not move the contamination; capture it or contain it. For FRP wall panels, that means:
- Identify. Measure panel area and note heavily soiled zones.
- Protect. Cover food and equipment.
- Clean. Apply a degreaser suited to FRP, agitate the texture with a soft brush or pad, and rinse-wipe.
- Verify. Inspect seams and photograph.
Typical reach class: Standard Reach. About AELC reach classes.
How often should FRP wall panels be cleaned?
| Setting | Recommended frequency |
|---|---|
| Commercial kitchens | Every 3 months |
| Restrooms and food plants | Every 6 months |
Grease, lint, humidity and how visible the area is can shorten these intervals. See how often high dusting should be done.
How much does frp wall cleaning cost?
Typical range: $0.35–$0.75 per square foot of wall (per wall sq ft). Published heavy degreasing runs about $0.30–$0.50 per sq ft; heavy cook-line buildup costs more.
Prices are set by each independent provider. Ranges reflect published market data and AELC time standards. See the full above-eye-level cleaning cost guide.
DIY vs. hiring a pro
- Avoid abrasive pads that scratch FRP and make it hold more dirt.
Safety and when to stop
- Keep moisture away from outlets and switch off as needed.
