How AELC providers clean kitchen ceiling tiles
Every AELC Network Provider follows the AELC Source-Control Method: do not move the contamination; capture it or contain it. For kitchen ceiling tiles, that means:
- Identify. Confirm tiles are washable and secure.
- Protect. Cover food areas and equipment.
- Clean. Apply degreaser, agitate and rinse-wipe; or remove tiles to wash in a designated area.
- Verify. Reinstall, inspect and photograph.
Typical reach class: Standard Reach. About AELC reach classes.
How often should kitchen ceiling tiles be cleaned?
| Setting | Recommended frequency |
|---|---|
| Commercial kitchens | Every 3 to 6 months |
Grease, lint, humidity and how visible the area is can shorten these intervals. See how often high dusting should be done.
How much does kitchen ceiling tile degreasing cost?
Typical range: $0.75–$1.50 per square foot (per ceiling sq ft). Remove-and-wash takes longer than in-place cleaning but gives the best result.
Prices are set by each independent provider. Ranges reflect published market data and AELC time standards. See the full above-eye-level cleaning cost guide.
DIY vs. hiring a pro
